Using cardboard templates, we made squares, hexagons, diamonds, triangles, rhombuses (i?) and trapezoids...

The boys and I played a game where they had to complete popular sayings and proverbs. If they didn't already know the original version, they were supposed to finish it in way that made sense to them.

Here are a few of the new Lightner proverbs...
