Qorban is six months old...
...and very proud of his (currently only) International Aunt. "Look what I built for you, Aunt Kate!"

Does anybody else dislike the look of tarnished earrings? I'm talking about the pseudo-silver kind you get at Wal Mart and similar places, that lose their silver sheen and turn a dull coppery color after a few years. (If they are real silver, in which case the tarnish will appear black rather than copper/brownish, just rub them with white vinegar and baking soda and they'll be as good as new.)
But there seemed to be no hope for the fake silver kind, until I decided to try giving them a second life with nail polish. Just detach them from their hooks, paint on both sides with a color you like (allowing to dry between sides,) and reattach carefully.

We're all enjoying the wooden blocks sent by Great Grandmother. We've built roads, tunnels...
...cathedrals (note the flying buttresses)...
...skyscrapers, mosques and more.
This particular design utilized every block.

2017 ended well.
Qorban turned five months and gives a thumbs up to the notion of independent mobility...
We got our first St. Louis snow...
Christmas went by in a blur...
And I discovered Brussels sprouts.
