Zadok has been an avid "reader" since before he could walk...

Now with the riches of multiple libraries now available to us, choosing new stories is a highlight of every week. Of course books along the lines of "Old truck, new truck, red truck, blue truck,"
abound--read ad infinitum, ad nausem to delight the souls of little boys. But we've also collected quite a list that Mother and Zadok equally enjoy. So, in no particular order, here's some of our favorites from the past year that you can look for in your own libraries.

Gus's Garage by Leo Timmers

Billions of Bricks: A Counting Book about Building by Kurt Cyrus

Joseph's Big Ride by Terry Farish

Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle

Poor Doreen: A Fishy Tale by Sally Lloyd-Jones

Hey Diddle Diddle by Eve Bunting

Whose Shoe? by Eve Bunting

My Father Knows the Names of Things by Jane Yolen

Stone Soup retold and illustrated by Marcia Brown

The Princess and the Pea retold and illustrated by Rachel Isadora

The Fisherman's Wife retold and illustrated by Rachel Isadora

Tikki Tikki Tembo by Arlene Mosel

Tap Tap, Boom Boom by Elizabeth Bluemel

Click Clack Moo, Cows that Type by Doreen Cronin

Thumbtack Dancer by Leslie Tryon

  1. I like the furnishings in the second picture, where Amos is reading with Zadok.
